good evening everyone i'm new to the forums just purchased a 2025 xlt maverick stock speakers. i recently purchased a kicker 500.1 amp and kicker amp wiring from Plugnplaykits with my wire harness. i wired the amp to a Kicker 48cwrt102 sub. i have the kicker sub knob also. i followed the kicker youtube video on showing how to set to 500.1 up with Gain and the Eq. when i set the gain i had the sub knob all the way maxed like it stated in the manual. i was only able to set the gain like an 1/4 from zero. when i put on any bass heavy songs like Rittz - for real, or juicy j - Smoke a brother. i have to have the sub knob cranked all the way up. the volume has to be at 23 on the headunit just to get any bass. am i setting this amp up right?? i just feel like something isnt being done right. im also over pushing the sub wired for 1 ohm and i also know that the amp at 1 ohm is 500rms when the sub is rated for 400rms.

If I remember correctly, I didn’t connect to bass knob until after the key 500.1 was setup.

I followed the auto setup and then connected the bass knob.
