Key Not Detected - 2023 Hybrid

This afternoon while starting my car after a brief stop (6K miles, ‘23 Hybrid XLT), I got the “key not detected” error. My primary key was in the ignition, truck was on, but it wouldn’t go into gear.

I tried both sides of the key, tried a couple of times - had no luck. Switched keys to my spare, and it works fine. The primary key battery is good, and keyless remote works still.

Any idea what I can check?

My wife used my Maverick last night. She admits to pressing some of the buttons on the steering wheel in an attempt to change the screen to show the speed. This morning my usual key will not start the Maverick. I get a "no key detected" message. It will lock and unlock the doors however. My spare key will start the Maverick. No clue what she may or may not have done to make this happen. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
