Key fob issues

I have been having issues getting the key fob to work and was wondering if anybody else has experienced something similar. Locking and unlocking the truck requires me to be about a foot away, any farther and it won’t work. Also, even when I am super close, it’ll take a handful of clicks of the button before the truck reacts. This only started to happen about a month ago. I have tried both key fobs and have replaced both batteries and it still doesn’t work. Anybody have any clue as to how to fix this? XL trim so no push to start or keyless entry.

Nope, never had that problem.

Sounds like an antenna might be disconnected or something. Probably time to schedule a warranty appointment with the dealer.

I had that happen with a multitudes of vehicles, usually happened when my fob battery was dying, try replacing the battery before bringing the truck to the dealer!

Have you recently installed any LED lighting to your home?

Good point. Our garage door openers have fits if the outdoor low voltage LED lights are on.

After researching it, I found that certain brands of LED lights can cause radio interference. I had to put the outdoor lighting transformer on a remote controlled outlet. I push the button to shut the lights off, open the garage door and turn the lights back on again.
