Just took delivery of my Alto Blue Lariat Luxury Hybrid. Ordered it from TED BRITT FORD and paid with X-Plan pricing. I get the feeling they were vaguely salty for selling it at X-Plan pricing which is just about the same as MSRP, but otherwise was a reasonable experience. Only bad thing was it was delivered with a ding on the passenger side, I'm vaguely hopeful the dealer will fix it later this week.

All and all, so far I'm happy with the truck. Already put over 100 miles on it in the first two days getting about 40 mpg. Looking forward to experiencing it more and getting some protection and a cover for the truck bed.

Congratulations - I hope I feel as good as you once my hybrid arrives. It will "replace" my 22 EB which I am very happy with but I am looking forward to the mpg of the hybrid. In my year of ownership of my Mav, it has met my expectations for utility and exceed them for comfort, handling and ride. I hope you have a good experience. You didn't mention adding accessories but I will say the best one I added was the tailgate damper. Second is spray-in bedliner. Enjoy!

Don't worry about your feeling. If they didn't want to sell it X-Plan, they didn't have to accept it (it's at dealer discretion, but it's in their best interest to do so, so they look honorable). As someone who also got his truck at X-Plan as well, the pricing isn't basically MSRP. It's a discount, albeit a small one. But the best part of using X-Plan, that some forget (or overlook) is that it limits the amount the dealer charges for their DOC fee to a flat $100.

In some states, this can save LOTS! In Pennsylvania, Doc is I believe $450, so I saved $350 right there. Some states it's close to $1,000 so it's a serious savings tool. Just keep on the dealer to fix the ding in the body. Don't let them forget it. If they do, hammer them on the survey. Plain and simple. When I sold Fords for all those years (23 years) I always made sure the delivery was perfect and the vehicle was spotless and issue free. Yes, some things arise at the last minute, but if it needed something done afterwards, it was on the "we owe" slip and it was taken care of promptly. Just enjoy your truck and don't pay them any mind if you think they aren't happy. You got your truck. 👍👍👍

Thanks for the comments! The tailgate damper is a great recommendation!

Still enjoying the truck, just got the roll-top from Ford installed (I think it's still the Rev X2 from the pictures I've seen online). Got the "impact" mat which is just "ok", I wonder if the extra $50 was worth it over the regular mat. Haven't installed the damper yet (thanks for the suggestion), but looking forward to it. Need to press the dealer a bit more to fit their dent/scratch. Will keep folks posted.

Now, what to use my Ford points on? Sunvisor? Extended warranty? Any must have accessories I should be looking into?

Vaguely salty lol. When I bought my Chevy Bolt last year, I found a dealer that was selling at MSRP (plus a BS paint protection package), and they made repeated comments about all the other discounts I was getting that totaled $5250 off MSRP.

Have had a 23 Hybrid Lariat with Lux, moonroof, SIBL, and other goodies for 8 months now. It is in Alto Blue and love it, although getting ready to have it in body shop for a couple weeks because someone in a Walmart or Home Depot parking lot decided to mess up my passenger rear quarter panel. Not sure where or when, but went to get in one morning and noticed it. Hardly ever look at passenger side, so might have had it several days before finding it.

Love the Alto Blue and the truck has been fabulous. Have just over 12K miles on it and it is one of the best vehicles I have ever owned.

Ugh, so disappointed, the fix that was done for the deep scratch amounted to running a touch up pen over the scratch. I don't even know if I should ask them to try again, I'm worried they would screw it up even more.

@JBryant that's annoying for sure.

How bad was the damage? And how did they fix it?

The one the transit/dealer did on mine was two inches down to the metal. The dealer claimed they would have to respray the door and couldn't match the paint properly which is why they used the touch up pen. Which all seems like an inaccurate statement. I'm wondering what the body shop did for yours.
