I have officially joined the Maverick club as of Tuesday last week. I had been thinking of picking up one and finally stopped by a dealership to see if I could test drive a hybrid and see how I liked everything in person. I arrived and started chatting with the dealers "Maverick guy" who said they only had ecoboosts on the lot. So I went to see them and while we were talking he mentioned they do actually have a hybrid I could see but not drive since it was a custom order that had arrived a few days ago. They hadn't done the full PDI but I could take a look. It was basically exactly what I was going to order. After looking it over we went in side so I could place my order. While we were going through everything he mentioned that the one on the lot had less than a week for the guy to pick it up. I told him if that sale fell through then I would sign as soon as possible. He said he would reach back out to the guy that ordered it. I left expecting to place an order and wait months. But within a few hours the salesman was texting me saying it was mine if I wanted. So within 8 hours I went from just looking to a proud new owner of a 2024 Atlas Blue Hybrid BAP Maverick. I have already put over 300 miles on it and am really enjoying it.

Thanks. I really lucked out with timing. Apparently they guy who ordered it had already bought two other Mavericks and basically drove them straight to the used car lot to sell them. Apparently Maverick flippers are a thing but I guess demand has dropped and it wasn't worth his time for this one.

Thanks. I have been reading a lot even before I bought it. Lots of great information. Even my wife found the forum looking up information and told me I should check it out.
Sadly Des Moines is a little too far for a monthly meet for me. But if I can make it one time I can bring Texas BBQ.

Thanks. Brenham Texas is a cool little town with a lot of murals. There were a few that were blocked by other vehicles that I want to try and get pictures with next time I swing through.

Congratulations on getting a Maverick! That is pretty much how I got mine back in summer of 2022.

Now that you have it, perhaps one of the first mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”
