So, I went trespassing a bit to see it with my own eyes, the dealership was closed. They were behind the dealership in the receiving lot.
Fresh off the truck and parked, still covered in Sonoran desert dust looking like a salty margarita glass. But it is nearby now:

In addition to mine, there was an FX-4 Lariat and a hybrid Lariat, plus a few Bronco Sports, all of which likely came off the same truck and in similar state of needing a bath.

Looking forward to seeing it cleaned up!

This is me and I have yet to get a straight answer from Ford. I called the hotline and they had no info at all. I'm not really sure what the point of the hotline is if they can't look anything up.

I'll call the dealership tomorrow with what people suggested on reddit. So far me and the OP of this thread are the only reported people to get such an email. At least that I've seen.

Yes, contact the dealership! Looking back, they provided the best information for me throughout the whole process. This Bronco Sport / Maverick buying experience has actually made me appreciate the value of a dealership. That shows what I think of the email correspondence, online tracking site, and misinformation that came directly from Ford

Hopefully, your situation is similar to mine. Like casanewt indicated, no information is much better than erroneous or outright false information.

Well, hopefully the info Norfolk Southern is giving me is accurate. Seems to line up with the Union Pacific estimate that my railcar would make it to East St. Louis today, because it arrived at the Gateway Yard, IL today at 3:30PM. It's now on the east side of the Mississippi!

Glad it was a false alarm. Really sharp looking truck and absolutely love the color.
I suspect I’ll get my June ordered Lariat later this week as it arrived just across the Fla-GA line Thursday. Not far from Orlando.

Hopefully, the same erroneous glitch that I got. Except you're handling it better.

The dealership didn't get any notice of change when I got mine, so maybe check with them.

Just got the same email. I am in GEORGIA and was contacted by my dealer just a couple of days ago to tell me it has arrived by railcar and will be moved to a carrier truck for transport to dealership....now this bs.

These emails are likely erroneous. I already know of two people who received these emails last week and then took delivery a few days later.

I believe you are correct. Was at dealership yesterday for my Bronco Sport service. Upon walking around I saw the manager who I know. Speaking in general this was brought up and he said that Ford recently sent a memo saying they were having issues with emails to customers and the tracker.

Just received my weekly VVR screenshot from my dealer and it verifies my Maverick is in Gateway Yard, Illinois(East St. Louis). The ETA was modified to the late May date, which makes no sense, because it should be at the dealer in a week or two.

I've been resisting bugging my salesman, still just using the CSX tracking. It originally had an ETA awhile back to Illinois for the 7th. So I'll probably contact him when it gets to that point.

Last update from phone tracking I got was it departed West Topeka, KS last night around 10:50pm. I believe it has a stop at Kansas City, MO before it reaches Illinois. So hoping it is booking it down the tracks to keep delivery on the 13th a realistic possibility.

Good deal. It's funny how you are getting info from CSX and for me, CSX doesn't have current info. Norfolk Southern is the one that gives me consistent info on where the most recent stop was/is.
