Good Lord. What a ride this has been for all of us. It's sad to say we would have been better off being COMPLETELY in the dark, rather than trying to follow along with these crazy trackers, emails, etc. Man, I am SO stoked for you to finally take delivery! I did contact the dealer and requested an explanation.
They informed me that my truck arrived last night and should be ready tomorrow or Friday.
They were surprised by the Ford email too, but they did say the shipment (didn't specify truck or train) had other vehicles on it that got damaged and Ford may have sent the message out en masse for all VINs on the shipment.
Sorry for my strong reaction earlier, but truthfully, this was the proverbial last straw.
My dealership has been great, the interaction with Ford not so much (erroneous emails/tracker/poor communication). I've been buying vehicles since the early '80's and traditionally not a fan of the experience. That said, the last four or five purchases have been great. No pressure or shenanigans. If Ford wants to sell directly, they need to get their crap together.
Hopefully, this will proceed and conclude with no additional drama.

This is me and I have yet to get a straight answer from Ford. I called the hotline and they had no info at all. I'm not really sure what the point of the hotline is if they can't look anything up.
