Username Meaning ?!?!Come on. You can't use "Dad's Car" as your avatar and not say anything about it.
You really need to post a bunch of pictures and a four page story about it. Anybody can buy a new car, but that machine in your avatar looks to be special.
Any one who thinks this is not the proper place needs to just keep scrolling.
Sorry about your brother, but a beautiful car with a wonderful story. Hopefully your Maverick can live up to such a legacy.Username Meaning ?!?!
The picture I chose was my brother's show car that was bought new in 1931 by my dad. I spent more than a few hours keeping it drivable. My brother died 364 days ago.
A little more: The model is the AE Independence. Built in St Louis. Family car for more than 20 years. Refurbished in the '80. Mostly interior and body. Dad toke it to local car shows and always brought home a trophy or plaque. Some said it was because of dad as much as the car. After dad died, my little brother took it to serious car shows and worked to get it to score 913 out of 1000, good enough to get recognized in the top tier. Could not afford the Body by Fisher plaque. It was worn away by the 10-gallon milk cans that dad hauled. When my brother turned to Tours, I got involved rebuilding the brakes, rockers, ignition, fuel lines, and more. The picture of the car while it is snowing was a longtime dream of my brother. Yes, it IS special!
