I recently had this front license plate bracket installed alongside my tonneau cover. What's concerning to me is its placement. Is this mounted too low? I feel like this is going to cause improper air flow and result in overheating issues. I know that the radiator and active grille shutters sit right behind it. After install, I made this very point aware to the technician and he swears that this is the proper placement for it. He said the dimples for the screw holes were integrated into the lower grille which holds true. The only thing is, I feel like that is for the bottom screws of the bracket and not the top. The top has to be drilled into the paint, which in this case, the front bumper itself. That's how I see it on virtually every member's Maverick on here. Feedback is most appreciated.

This was my solution. I’m sure most won’t like it. I’ve never scraped it on anything. It’s quite solid. I used a 1. Inch long bolt with a lock washer and nut. It holds it tight. No flapping. I’d like to think it directs a little more air into the intercooler 🤷🏻‍♂️. I couldn’t bring myself to put holes in the painted part of the bumper. I figured the holes in the black plastic would be easier to hide. So far it’s worked fine for me.
