Is the Maverick 'L' mode the Same as the Prius 'B' mode?

I know we have members that have owned Prius's (Prii?) and Mavericks, just wondering if the Prius 'B' (Braking) mode is the same as as using the Maverick's 'L' mode?

From the Maverick Owners Manual:
LOW (L) - HYBRID ELECTRIC
VEHICLE (HEV)
In low (L) your vehicle decelerates more
noticeably than in drive (D) when the
accelerator pedal is released.
Note: We recommend using this mode for
driving on hilly or mountainous roads or
when towing a trailer.

From the Lexus CT200(Fancy Prius) Owners Manual:
Shift position B. Applying engine braking or strong braking when the accelerator
pedal has been released on steep downward slopes etc.

I had a CT200 before the Maverick. I believe L and B to
behave the same.
