Yes indeed, I agree. I haven’t seriously considered buying a Ford for over 50 years.They were highly anticipated, but will they capitalize on, or kill the anticipation at a nearly 1/3 price hike?
I hope that if demand is low, they realize & have room to roll back the pricing to a sweet spot vs continue to push maverick down a path of being a niche vehicle segment.
I think much more than a single successful model here, with the Maverick, Ford has an opportunity to get their brand into the eyes of many who never considered their offerings. I know I'm one. But it has to remain a price competitive option to other small SUVs and small hybrids in order to get that attention.
My “trucklett” XLT is scheduled for the week of September 2.
I would not consider buying at 2025 prices.
I would probably stay with second hand Toyotas. Just saying.
