If I have my EQ set to flat in forscan, and I'm using a kickery key 200.4 in bi-amp mode for component speakers and a JL powered microsub + for bass, do I need to use A LC2I or similiar LOC? Some say the LOC is a waste of money since the key works great straight from the high level inputs but others say it is a must.

You DO NOT need an LC2i or any other LOC. The key is handling the mids and highs, and the JL microsub can take high level inputs just fine. You did the most important thing you needed to do already for the sub, which is set the factory EQ to flat. You should be good to go ;)
