So, I used to be a software developer, full disclosure the last time I developed an app for iOS was iOS 6, but I've developed for many platforms before that and after that.
I bring that up because I pay attention to conditions for reproduction via testing.
I've reached the conclusion that iOS 16.6 (at least for my iPhone 12 Pro Max) introduced more heat during charging. The phone is running hotter than prior to iOS 16.6.
Specifically, where this has caused me a problem is having the iPhone in my Otter Box case and on the Maverick wireless charging pad.
After a while, the iPhone shows an error which says that the charging has been suspended until the phone cools down.
I never had this problem prior to iOS 16.6. I can get around it by charging via cable and away from the wireless pad, or taking the phone out of the Otter Box.
Anyone else noting anything similar?
