On the 2024 XL it has the slot in the center console to put the phone in and it has a slot at the bottom that the cable goes into when you put in the phone. The problem is that it creates a severe bend in the cable that I think will eventually damage the cable. Any ideas in a better way on where to place the phone to prevent this?

There’s many 90’ (degree) charger cables or put your phone upside down or I have seen a few people hardwired and/or installed the wireless charging systems…

Upside down is the way to go.

My phone is a bit big for that (Pixel 8 Pro)... I'd need to go upside down and use a right-angle connector at the phone. Otherwise the back of the connector hits the bottom of the center console.

I have a trip coming up so I'm working on a Magsafe solution using one of AkroHD's dash-cubby inserts, a Magsafe case for my Pixel (dBrand Grip), and a vent-mount magsafe charger (as yet undecided on brand/model) to mount to the dash-cubby insert.
