FordPass and my iPhone

I received a message on my phone from FordPass telling me I needed to upgrade my IOS software "to insure access to future versions of FordPass". I have an iPhone 6S Plus. I know its not the latest and greatest, but it works. It's upgraded to the latest software the Apple has for this phone. Do I need to get a newer phone?

Currently, your IOS needs to be at 14 or higher. As the message indicates, they are talking about future updates, so they are preparing you for when an App update no longer works on your phone. Your 6S Plus is maxxed out at 15.7.1, current iPhones are using 17+

thanks for that information. Maybe Santa will bring me a new phone for Christmas

You may want to consider finding a used newer version phone that is capable of getting current software updates, look for an iPhone 10 or higher, that will still update for a long time and not cost much imo

One can hope! I took delivery of my '23 Mav this past January, after a week they updated the App, and obsoleted my old Android. I finally joined the iPhone crowd with a refurb 12.
