Interior Light Won't Turn Off

Searching brings up lots of posts on deep sleep etc. but I have the opposite problem. The dome light in the backseat just started staying on tonight. I had to drive home with it on. I double locked the truck and gave it a solid 10 minutes and it was still on. I have no open doors. The front light's rocker switch will turn all the lights off but I'd like to have interior lights. Am I missing something?

Mine did that once.
I just turned the switches
up on the console
left then right once or twice
then shut the door again
then it went out and
havnt had it happen again

Pop out the fixture. Remove the bulb. Problem solved!

Late 2025, bought low miles used 2023 XLT via cargurus. When delivered, rear interior light did not turn off. I was worried about battery drain, but every time, by morning, it was off (so, at some point each night it turned off). But, when driving again the next day, same thing happened… interior light stays on.
I read to try to fix by disconnecting battery, but I didn’t want to fool with resetting everything and also risking other problems so I lived with it for about 10 months (people in back seat are kind of bothered by it, but I rarely have anyone back there).
Here’s the interesting ending: I go out of town, leave the Mav in the garage, restart it about 11 days later and light is now out! Maybe went into sleep mode and reset things? Who knows.

For those that don't know. The back seat light can be turned on and off independently of the front light by pushing it. This light will also stay lit while the truck is running.
Also, the rear seat overhead light will not turn off, no matter how many times you push it, as long as the door is open.

For my particular issue, the rear seat overhead button did not affect the light on/off. It NEVER went off no matter how many times I pressed it.
I just got lucky? that almost a year later it went off and has stayed off so far.

The rear seat overhead light will never turn off, no matter how many times you push it, if the door is still open. Meaning you would have to get into the backseat close all the doors wait for the lighting time delay to extinguish all the lights. Then you can turn the rear overhead light on and off.
OR
One of the ways to keep the rear seat overhead light from Illuminating when the door is open. Is to turn off the master switch.
