I currently have USAA. Great company Great service. Great $$$$. Any ideas about another company to save some money. Claims experience would be most helpful. as that's when it counts. Down here in SPFla PI attorneys are more common than roaches, I think. I understand some of the cost but times are tight.

I have had these guys for about 10 years. My rates went up this year, a small amount, but most people I know around here had rate hikes also. Not a great year as insurance companies are paying out a lot of claims. I have had one claim for about $2,700 and a $500 deductible. No problems, claim approved in about 24 hours and vehicle in shop day after (motor home). I seem to be a magnet for rock chips and broken windshields. No deductible, they just pay out. I went through two windshields once within 2 weeks and abut twice a year need new windshield or chip repair! Second time a semi pulling empty flatbed had a chain boomer bounce off. It had penetrated about one inch into driver side, then I hit a bump and it bounced into side of another vehicle. Maybe start wearing a NASCAR approved helmet all the time? We were not in the Maverick, wife's 4Runner. Windshields have not made my rates change any. Good luck on your hunt! Forgot link, here you go.

Get a quote from State Farm, especially if you have young drivers on your policy.

I've had Geico for years, I'd be eligible for USAA but every time I check other companies for comparison pricing, Geico remains the best deal for me. Vehicles, house, and motorcycle, all covered. Any claims I've had over the last few years have been handled quickly and satisfactorily. Since I don't live near one of their Service Centers, claims have been handled through a surprisingly efficient system in their app and sending requested pictures of the vehicle, the damage, your VIN, and odometer. I've been able to use my chosen body shop as well.

There are other options to look at if you like, but I've always been treated fantastically by USAA come claim time. Do not get insurance from a company you haven't heard of. GEICO, Progressive, Allstate, etc. are all fine. Others may have the business model of avoiding paying out.

USAA is a pain in the ass to go against, a lady t boned, me 100% at fault, and I had geico.

USAA played hardball, waited til absolute deadlines, refused to pay or talk to us, refused to negotiate, refused to fix vehicle or replace it. until the absolute last minute, of every timeline. - the lady literally said, our client is our priority.

after that, I joined USAA. cant beat em, join em. I figure even though the lady who t boned me was a pos, texting, blowing red light, they treated her like a fricken queen meanwhile I was some peasant who evidently was the worst person in world. delayed it for months, here I was screwed as hell with no ride or anything.

my geico rep, said this was the most longest drawn out, non extreme wreck shes ever seen, they was just being assholes.

That's probably new policy so they can afford to pay Gronk and Sam Elliott to be in TV commercials.

GEICO was the best price for me on my Maverick.
Premium of $346 for 6 months.
Full coverage w/ Comp & Collision deductibles of $500.
Roadside assist/tow and rental reimbursement when needed.

I’m also a USAA member but they have Never been competitive on price for me.
I give them a shot every year on all my stuff but they are always too high.

State Farm and Progressing are the carriers on my other vehicles right now.
I shop for better rates once a year on each vehicle and renew for 6 months at a time. I almost always find a better rate with a different company.

Being loyal to an insurance company makes zero since to me, so I’m not. It’s me paying the premium and if they are loyal to me they will offer me the best price on identical coverage and claims support.

Thanks everyone. Checking geico now. Insurance on the Maverick can vary a lot depending on the trim and your location. I found that going through a broker helped me get quotes from multiple carriers, which ended up saving me a good chunk over the big-name companies. Also check if your provider offers usage-based or low-mileage discounts—it helped me cut my premium since I don’t drive it daily
