Full disclosure, I have no no experience installing audio in a car. I am curious though…I want to install two HS518 kicker subs in my 25 XLT. I don’t have the B/O upgrade. Has anyone done this successfully? Will both they fit behind the back seat (I prefer this option over under the front or back seat) ? Is it possible to use one dial to control both speakers?

Any knowledge is greatly appreciated.

Sure, wiring them in parallel drops the ohms by half.
Can harm the amp.
Wiring them in series doubles the ohms and will reduce power output to each speaker by half.
Thustly reducing thump.
and increasing THD
It can work but with the stock amplifier I’d go with just one.

Just wait, my knowledge is old school. You’ll get far better advice soon.

‘25 XLT. I don’t have the B/O upgrade.’
Does your system even have a separate base woofer behind the back seat ?
If not then my previous comment may be useless.

There is not a separate woofer.

I think he means the Kicker 51HS8? I just put a Kicker HS10 in my 2025 Hybrid XLT w/ 4k tow and the lux package, and I had to orient it vertically because what I think is the tow break controller and the antenna controller were in the way (all the other pics I've seen in this forum folks do it horizontally). The HS10 is about the same size as the HS8 I believe, and I didn't have a lot of extra room.
You could scooch the control modules over a bit, but I don't think you could fit two behind the seats. Maybe if you don't have 4k tow you don't have to worry about the bigger control module? Maybe you could do one behind and one under the seats instead?

Ignore the jumper cables, I just like to keep my emergency stuff back there.

Worth saying for anyone else who was wondering like I was, the same LC2IPRO wiring harness that worked for the older models still works for the 2025. I assumed the frequency drops for the rear speakers still applies to the 25s despite the improved quality, but I didn't test it.

ah I gotcha. how do you like the 51hs10? thats what I am planning if I buy vehicle, but since lariats have a ton of shit on the rear wall unlike lower trims, id be putting under the rear seat. but it should sound same as yours, since well you have a back rest infant, vs a seat being above it. both got a wall of fabric.

I like it quite a lot. It's not as powerful as a larger sub mind you (no replacement for displacement!), but for it's size it really punches above it's weight. I just think the stock speakers have good clarity but lack bass. I'm not looking for anything crazy, and the HS10 exceeds my needs.

I think to get something more powerful you'd have to do one of the builds I've seen here where they sacrifice the underseat storage, but then where do you put your tools? Can't have a truck with no tools, that's crazy talk.

If there's room on the rear wall in your 25' for two you could buy a quarter inch thick sheet of ABS plastic mount it to where the b&o amp would mount and then just run a y connector 3.5 mm cable for the bass knob to control the output of both subs off the one bass knob.

You would just mount them to the ABS using half inch long screws to the stock b&o amp mouth like I did my mono amp.

Brackets made from simple hardware store flat bar. Don’t think two subs would fit behind the back seat. One rocks the cabin pretty good. Remote bass control install below hvac controls.
