Ok, Ford branded Truxedo Soft roll up is measured. The install flares out at the bottom where the cover actually meets the truck bed / insulating material, and that's where I measured from. The "top" of the cover is of course narrower.
I measure 56 1/8" cab to tailgate, on each side.
Mine measures 55 inches from the bottom flared area.

The sticker on the box had a date code of Jan 21, 2022.

Seems odd that the cover was shortened.

Thanks for your time.

No problem! We are here to share and care. Wasn't any inconvenience whatsoever to measure things for you.

Reading through this post. I'm gathering that the Ford TruXedo roll up cover and the TruXedo TruXport roll up cover are the same except for the Ford branding. This cover is a trapezoidal shape both lengthwise and widthwise. Lengthwise some are saying their cover is 55" long at it longest point (where it actually touches the truck bed). Another said theirs was 56-1/8". This extra 1-1/8" makes quite a difference since a common complaint is the Ford cover being an inch or so short.

I'd like to know if the Ford product is actually shorter than the TruXedo product. Maybe the product has been redesigned to be longer? Many are buying this $3xx cover. I'm also wonder is the higher priced TruXedo Pro X15 has the same length issue. Are any of you Pro X15 users complaining that your cover is too short?

I like the X15 primarily because it is listed as only being 1/2" tall vs the TruXport being 1-1/2" tall.

I just installed the Ford Parts supplied Truxedo soft roll up cover and I don’t see any length issues. It came with a roll of weatherstrip but looking at where it goes on the bulkhead end, it’s already installed there. Also, the tailgate end has a nice rubber seal. Both ends overlap well enough to seal the bed.

could I see pics of the bulkhead? I want to see if I’m not putting my Truxport close enough to it.

I think it could slid back a little further and still cover. I happy with it where I have it now.
