I agree. That is an insane offer, my XLT hybrid offer is $31,000
That's what "I" intend on doing...I ordered it with the intent of keeping it and driving it till the wheels fall off.
I sold my '22, bought a '23 Hybrid XLT.I would sell, drive the highlander and order a better 2024 model in July.
The reason why the XLs get crazy resale compared to higher trims is they are actually harder to find used because all fleets have snatched the XLs and since so many allocations have gone to companies not selling them they get an "insane offer"
Only if you're total taxable income is over 44,625k for the year with the gain. If it's under, you pay no tax. Depends on how you do your taxes. Over 44,625 pays 15% tax.. Which would be about 1,650... Still over 9k profitDon't forget, the IRS generally requires you to pay capital gains on that $11K
Not sure a used ranger is an upgrade...I would at that price, then find yourself a nice used ranger as an upgrade.
This is an easy decision. If it's truly an 11k+ profit, and you have another vehicle to drive, sell it! This is a rare time (that will probably not repeat) that consumers can actually make a chunk of money off of buying/selling/trading vehicles instead of the immediate value loss when driving off a lot. Plus you have the new order banks opening in July if you want to buy a new one.I ran my Maverick XL Ecoboost AWD 4K tow through Carvana's website to see what they would offer me.

At 40%! If after selling those gains were used to purchase another truck could that tax be avoided?Don't forget, the IRS generally requires you to pay capital gains on that $11K

That's what he was thinking.................
Wow, I ran my hybrid XL thru and they were only $3k over. I'd say take it as not too sure if their long-term viability. Helped an older couple sell their 2013 VW convertible and carvana offered $10,000 more than the lowest price that was offered from other folks.... But that was 7 months ago... Which carvana location did you get the offer from? As I would think that different markets have different valuesI ran my Maverick XL Ecoboost AWD 4K tow through Carvana's website to see what they would offer me.
