Incoming iPhone Calls Silent

I have my iPhone connected through the hub and use it for navigation, music, calls, etc. Whenever my wife calls me and I answer, there is just silence. I either have to call her back, or she calls me back, and then I can hear her. While getting a silent call from your wife may often be preferable, it's not often conducive to a peaceful coexistence. Anyone experience a similar issue? Our carrier is Verizon. Thanks!

I have the same problem. It is an issue with the crappy radio software. I use a wireless adapter which doesn't have that problem.

When connected if you switch the call to speaker and back to carplay the issue resolves itself as well. The issue is only on the first call made or received.

FWIW, I do not have this problem with my Pixel phone.

I have the exact same issue. It happens everytime but just on the 1st call. If they call back it works fine. I have never been able to find out how to fix other then make a call when you get in to drive

You can hit speakerphone on your phone, and then switch it back to carplay it will work w/o calling back.

My iphone works best when physically connected by wire in the Lariat. So does my Android phone. Obviously I only use one phone connected at a time. (the Android is an American based phone bought when I was having issues with my Canadian based iphone service plan)
It is a nuisance to have wires, but it works every time - no issues.

Make sure privacy call is disabled in the phone settings on your radio.
