I noticed when I turn off my Maverick, I receive a notice on my Ford Pass that my Maverick is in Deep Sleep Mode. The battery looks good. No indication of any problem. The vehicle starts without any provblem. The interior light will not come on when I opened the driver's door, which is an indication that the vehicle is in Deep Sleep Mode. Anyone else experiencing this problem? I saw somewhere there is an update to the TCU software.

Mines doing that same thing. It starts fine but when I turn it off I get a notification on Ford Pass that I'm in deep sleep mode. It has been doing this for a few weeks now and I put my battery on charge this past weekend. The deep sleep mode stopped for a couple of days. On Monday it started again. I'm frustrated with the problem and the Dealer doesn't know how to fix it. There is no TCU for the Maverick that I know of. Just the F-150 and superduty.

My truck started doing this after I came back from a work trip. It wasn't driven for 4 days, which is not zero, but in this mild weather also not a big deal at all. I think there's a decent chance this is a bug. My wife's Bronco isn't doing it though, so if it is a bug it's Maverick-specific.

I haven't checked the software build version yet but my truck never auto-updates. I have to update it with a usb stick every time.

Yes they all do. It's the Telematics Control Unit (not to be confused with a transmission control unit). It's the module that handles communication of vehicle data with Ford via the 4G modem. Reference SSM 51449.

I've gotten the DEEP SLEEP mode notification twice in the last three days. Truck seems normal when I get in it, but interior lights don't come on. Notification goes away once I'm driving. I put a battery tender on the truck today to see if that makes any difference. It's been charging for about 8 hours and is not fully charged yet.

I'm thinking there must be a problem with the app - just got a notification that my Fusion is now in DEEP SLEEP mode and it was driven earlier today. It has not gone into DEEP SLEEP mode for months.

I was getting deep sleep with increasing frequency so tookit in for service, among other items.

I was expecting either bad battery or bad 12 volt wire har ess.

It was the battery. No deep sleep since.
But I'm expecting the wire harness at some point.

Try this.

I did this and it seems to have fixed my Deep Sleep issue. Since last week my truck was instantly going into Deep Sleep as soon as the ignition was off.

Here's everything I did. Performed the procedure above. Shut off ignition. Started engine and let it run 5 min. Went into Fordpass Connect in the sync3 unit. Turned off everything, then toggled back on, except for insurance data. Shut off ignition.

No Deep Sleep messages... yet? I'll report back in a few days.

This usually makes mine go away for a few days then it comes back- Had battery upgraded to 760AGM- Replaced smart junction box previously- D/S came back after airbag work and sitting for 5 days- Did the BMS/BSM this morning, now will see how long until it for sure will show up again -

My 2022 maverick hybrid was doing exactly the same. As soon as the truck was shut off the deep sleep mode came across my mobile phone. Just over a week ago my mobile said there was an update for the Fordscan app. After I did the update on my mobile I have not received another deep sleep mode notice.

May be because they broke notifications for the app with the update?

I have several new notifications if I open the app, but was not notified of them on my home screen.

I deleted the app off my phone last week and yesterday was the first time in weeks that my truck did not go into deep sleep mode. When I got in the truck that morning all my lights came on including the dome light. So far it is working normal. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I don't want to get too optimistic. I guess the battery was so far down that it took a week for it to charge to a level that would keep it from going to sleep.

I put battery tenders on both my Fusion and my Maverick. Took about 12 hours at that low charge rate to get the 12v batteries fully charged even though both vehicles were driven that day. After that full charge, I have not had another DEEP SLEEP mode on either vehicle.
