"Black cars, look better in the shade"! They really do. When polished clean and parked in the shade of big tree in the summer, they look fantastic! Other than that, they will show every water spot, spec of dirt and dust, and be brutally hot in the summer. I will proudly date myself with this classic

I started with a XL EB in Shadow Black, which is beautiful but requires too much maintenance. I have a couple small rock chips on the hood and they really stand out. My 2023 Hybrid XLT order is in HPR. I think that is the only color that will not clash with the XLT orange interior accents.

Have owned one black car. It wasn't just a lot of effort to keep clean, it was a part time job.

Tell me the good and bad about black paint jobs on cars, or trucks.

I never have had a black car or truck. I have had a couple different blues, reds, and whites, 1 charcoal Grey, 1 safety yellow, silvers, greens, and primer.

Yeah especially if you are going off road or driving dirt roads stay away from black IMO. I think darker colours are more doable for urban driving. Mine is in the garage when at home and virtually all driving in town. I have Alto Blue and think it will be fine for me, not all that hard to wash, and I love the colour.
