I get the same noises...now today, I went for a ride and rolled down the windows. When I got home, the passenger rear window wouldn't roll up. Also noticed that the window lock was not working...anyone else?

Mine does it locked or unlocked. It seems like I just need to approach it in the garage and it will start clicking.
I think your Maverick is just really glad to see you! Kind of like my cat purrs and my dog wags her tail when they see me coming.

The real question I have is does it always make these clicks, or only when I get near it? I guess I could set up a spy-cam system and then walk away. Make a recording and see if it is clicking to itself all night long.

But if I set up a spy-cam, I might hurt my Maverick's feelings. If she thinks I don't trust her, she might turn herself off. Or something....

This is not a complaint thread. I'm just purely curious about the noises my truck makes. I hear it doing stuff, it's making noises when it's parked in my garage and the doors are locked. My key fob is in the house.

I hear mechanical sounds like popping and clicking.

What is it doing?

I don't know why I find this so funny.
Maybe it want's to go for a ride.
Maybe it is trying to escape.
I'm not concerned because it's not the first time it has done this.
I just want to know what it's doing.

Anyone know?
Thanks.
Assuming you have a hybrid and that’s the electrical system back feeding on the battery checking temperatures closing down relays and such it has nothing to do with your fob almost every hybrid vehicle in the world uses some electrical power even when it’s powered off to check temperatures and flows through the electrical system, and you’ll hear the solenoids and electrical chatter from that all the time
