I had an opposite situation. I needed a replacement vehicle when the 2010 Toyota minivan i was driving for work finally wouldn't drive anymore after 465k miles. It was August of 2021. I put an order in for a XLT Hybrid.
Because of the mileage reimbursement, I was able to pay it off in a couple of years.
2024, the company decided we get company cars so my wife has been driving the Mav. There's talk that we're going back to driving our own personal vehicles again which means I'm taking back the Mav. My wife said she'll buy her own. She loves driving it.
Get her the #Tremor trim she will like it

That's awesome what's changing for 2027 i can't decide what to get f150 with the big discount a ranger that can pull a real trailer load or a maverick for driving around cheap or a hybrid maverick I'm all screwed up
the changes are minor. I didn’t care for any of the new colors. There is going to be a color upcharge for 2027-
Orange fury is going to be a $995 option (up from $495), Glacier Gray is also $995, and ANY other color except Oxford White and Shadow Black will carry a $495 charge.
I also found the exact truck I would have ordered at an amazing price, so that forced my hand.

Charging extra for almost every pain(t) choice? 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 I did have a 2024 XL ordered. The salesperson told me to keep looking for a Cyber Orange, as that color was not available in the ‘24 model year. She said, no problem refunding your deposit, as the truck will fly off the lot. So yeah, being bull 🐂 headed, I continued my quest to find my 🎃 truck! And I did. In Lariat trim, with ‘all the options I wanted!’ Best move I could have made!! At that point in time, paying retail was a ‘treat!’
So I treated myself to top of the line! 5 months earlier, my local dealership tried to sell me an XL for $12,000 exactly, OVER list. I paid $2,000 less for my Lariat than they wanted for the XL, at that dealership, which I now avoid like the plague!!

So, wait. Are all of us a bunch of Old Guys here?
yep, someone did a poll a while back and at least 2/3 of the Mav owners here are geriatric.
It would be interesting to see the national stats of buyers; I suspect that older/wiser people are more likely to buy a Mav than some glossy, loud boy-magnet of a F150/250/350 that costs about 50 cents per mile to drive.

My truck today sells for $10,000 more on the sticker (shock!).

Easy in/out. You could park on the grass, flop out and not break a hip!!! Huge draw, and that darn lifting out of a full size truck box?? Tough when the rotators are shot!! And on fixed incomes with 47 mpg.? ‘Golden’, written all over it!!

Yep, and the "full size" pickups have a bed higher than waist height now, soon to be higher than shoulder height. I'm so old (how old are you?) that I remember you could rest your arms on the side of the bed of a full size while leaning over it, and the full size pickup had higher ground clearance and more bed capacity than the full size pickups of today. Dunno why they got so tall while losing capability at the same time.
The Mav isn't supposed to be a contractor's pickup, but it's nice to be able to haul the occasional thing in it. Plywood, drywall, etc. aren't a problem. And yet, 45+mpg (hybrid).
