Mine has an option to automatically raise the volume at higher speeds. It’s probably not enough for Podcasts though.
I did adjust that after the last trip.

Ok... Been experimenting with driving modes this morning while hauling decomposed granite.

Eco: throttle response is much less. Coasting charging is much more. Battery ranged between %30-60.

Tow haul: this one was very interesting. Throttle response is same as normal (IMO). There are fake "gears" during acceleration. The driving experience is much like I would think start/stop mode is in other vehicles. When your foot comes off the gas, the ICE starts. The ICE runs whenever you're moving forward. Electric mode only engages when you're stopped. The battery REALLY charges when in this mode. The ICE stays on, even when going down a hill and there battery apparently likes to be kept around %70 when in tow/haul. I believe this is to keep energy stored for needed uphill climbs or accelerations.

Ok...I'd like an Ecoboost owner to chime in here... I've got the following as a display option.

Can you please post what the Ecoboost says under this category?

Anyone? My theory is this is the total torque number that the drivetrain can produce. If the EB engine number translates to the spec sheet number, then we actually know the total hybrid torque.

This is a great thread, thanks for posting and the replies. Interesting stuff.

My experience on my drive back from Philly to Dallas was 33MPG highway with the AC off. Now that it's summer in Texas, that number is dropping a few MPG as is expected. Affects the city MPG just as much.

That Torque Pro app is pretty cool. Assuming it needs it's own OBD connector?

Yeah, what obd dongle are you using?

I actually have the normal Torque OBD and app. Really just use it for when I get a check engine but maybe I should plug it in and experiment and learn more. Just knowing the RPM's is kinda cool.

I just finished a roundtrip PA to SC. I didn't think to try out my Torque app on the trip. I wish I had. Anyhow, on the trip I easily got 40+ MPG. Knowing speed kills I had my cruise set at 60. I was in no hurry. I do this trip twice a year. I hate I-95. Best drive I've had because I used the self driving lane centering hack. Wonderful.

I've since installed my OBD2 adaptor. I like that I can now see the hybrid battery charge level. I like see a tach as well. I'm interested in see the state of charge in the battery. Around town the highest I've seen is 70%. The truck doesn't seem to like go below 30%. I'll have to do more observations with different drive modes.

Right now the only things I monitor is battery level, tach, and fuel level. Knowing the percent of fuel level is great for consistent MPG checking. I haven't noticed any other PIDs to monitor. I would like to see the hybrid battery voltage. As i drive more I'll decide what others PID are truly worth looking at. Anybody using any custom PIDs?

It's pretty easy to set a dash up, what other parameters would you want?
