Why is the the standard hybrid and from this forum, majority are getting the hybrid, why is it order only? I would imagine its the other way around.

I would assume it’s because the large amount of reservations for hybrids will require 100% of their production capacity for that configuration and sending any to the dealerships for the lot would mean shorting customers on their reservations which would not be received very well.

So they can market standard hybrid technology with low starting price to draw people into dealerships, then present them with the more expensive models as their only option ;)

Not necessarily… Ford projected they would sell 40% Hybrids & 60% EcoBoost, so that’s how they set up production. It’s upside down, just based on this forum. As a result of the initial higher than anticipated demand for the Hybrid, they are currently limiting the Hybrid models to retail purchases only… none to dealer stock. I’m sure they will adjust production if continued demand for the Hybrid exceeds their initial projections.

What's the Escape breakdown, 1.5L/2.0L EcoBoost vs. hybrid?

Can't speak to order vs. stock because I knew no dealer stock would have a block heater. The factory installed it, but didn't route the harness out the front. It took the dealership 3 tries, the last after pointing to a diesel in the lot: "do it like this, please."

They can order a hybrid, but the test driver will be standard ICE.
