Question for people who may be able to help.

I have 2 local dealerships saying they cannot order a hybrid and that Ford is only accepting Ecoboost orders. 2 other dealerships, 1 in the GTA and 1 in the Ottawa area say they can order hybrids, however they may or may not be built as a 2023.

Who is the correct dealership here? Are the 2 who say they can order a hybrid just stringing me a long knowing that there’s no chance in getting a 2023 built and just want my business?

I’m not in a hurry to get my hybrid, I would however like to order one and have the process in the works if that is possible. And if it comes as a 2023 awesome. But if Ford doesn’t have any plan to build any new 2023 hybrid orders, what’s the point in ordering one right now.

I would rather order from my local dealership who I’ve worked with before.

Ordering opened for 2023 on Spetwmber 15, 2022. It closed 5 days later for Hybrids, 2 days after that for EcoBoost.

You can not order a 23, and Ford is not accepting orders for 24.

Canada has been handled so differently than the US by Ford. Going to Ford.ca, I only see 2022 Mavericks for building and ordering. So facts may be very different there than in the US where I am. You folks need a person like @fordvideoguy in Canada to learn the truth! Sorry I can't be more helpful. Maybe Tim knows someone in Canada who can tell you.

He's asking about Canada...they've always had different dates there.

Thanks. I've heard Tim mention Johnny's, but never knew he was in Canada.
So, OP, there you go...your source for the truth. I think Johnny's is usually in the Tuesday Chat/Video from FordVideoGuy.

Even if it is only for the gas version, how could Ford still be taking orders in Canada when orders ended in America over two months ago. How about Brazil ?

Much like dealers receive production allocations, so do regional and national markets.

Evidently, they sold out faster in the US.
