Ok. Got my Maverick 2 weeks ago. Got informed today that my job has been eliminated. The company offered me another job that is 100% remote.

Now that I won't be driving an hour a day the truck will sit in the driveway probably all week. Is that OK for the hybrid battery? Or is that going to be a problem?

My guess is it would only get driven short distances on the weekend.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Got my hybrid 1/7/22 and have only put 3500 miles on it after retiring in late December. No problems with it as far as I know regarding the traction battery or the 12 volt battery.

Same here, very limited driving for the last 8 mo with no problems. We have a jump charger on standby just in case.

You might want to keep a 12V battery tender on the 12V startup battery.

12v battery suffers the most. Mine can’t hold enough charge to go 9 days without low battery conditions. Recommend using weekly scheduled remote start with ford app to keep things fresh.

If the truck isn't going to be driven for an extended time, they suggest starting it every 2 weeks (I believe). That can be done on the app. Truck will run for 15 minutes then shut itself off. I've left mine undriven for a week+, but not more than 10 days. It's not had any problems starting right up.

Missed the running around on weekends, you should be fine.
Agreed... my wife's prius doesn't get driven that often and no issues whatsoever. And it's a 2015 so it's a few years old now, still gets 50mpg

Just starting it but not driving it? How long to let it run? That doesn't deplete the 12 volt?

Just starting it doesn't deplete the 12 volt battery. Guessing need to make sure no ac, etc. Is on?

Start it and it will run about 15mknutes thru Ford pass app during which time the dcdc converter will provide up to 15.6 volts and to run whatever is on. You can have electric seats steering wheel, AC or heater and enough to charge 12v if needed. When HVB drops to 30% SOC ice will start and the starter/generator will provide current to recharge the HVB to 40% charge and repeat as needed. Ice will only cycle once in 15 minutes. The 12v will be charged some during that time. There is a limit to number of times remote start can be done without starting it in person, I am not sure how many. Before some of the updates you could manually start it and let it run for 1 hours or more but that got changed.
