Does the train first go to a major hub and from there to the final destination? I am in LA and someone told me that the train first goes somewhere to midwest and from there back to LA. Sounds odd and doesn't make sense to me.
The whole train makes its way to the border, switched to UP control, where they then take it to the nearest yard and the rail cars are then put on trains headed in the general direction the rail car is going, and it can be switched once or a couple times before the car gets to where it will be unloaded

Just got my email my truck is shipped eta 14-21 I’m in DFW placed my order 7/5, I think Ford has done a phenomenal job on getting the Mavericks built specially when they only went into production in September
This is the part that has driven me crazy over this. Im in Houston, a half a day's travel closer to the Hermosa plant. Truck order confirmed June 19th, and I only recently recieved and Email saying it'll be built on Dec 20th, and who the hell knows if that'll even happen.

In my case dropping the bed liner was key everything after that was smooth sailing

Well, if you have a VIN and a production date, that is better than some. I had a production date of 12/13 and then they bumped it to 01/03. Hopefully your 12/20 date holds and since you are in Houston, you still could be in the early hybrid deliveries in the next few weeks.

I ordered June 13th (in Canada). Not even a VIN yet.

Hybrid, XL, Iconic Silver, hard-drop in liner, hitch, sliding rear window, floor liners, Co-Pilot 360.

Guessing the drop-in liner is the issue. The Maverick is to replace a Subaru Outback with a ready-to-go head gasket (plus other issues), so timing is important.

I was told by Ford next year , that is kinda basic statement. Would be nice to know what month.

Got an email from dealer informing me that if I got for a modified Lux package and get a drop in bed liner instead of spray in bed liner than I will get scheduled very quickly. My order was confirmed by Ford on 7/28/21. No contact, No Vin #, No Build date, No scheduling, Nothing and now I am being asked to take the CARUCK with the drop in liner ... NO THANK YOU!
I will wait for what I ordered. Hybrid with Lux Pack with spray in bed liner.

BTW ... the people who are getting deliveries of they Hybrid, do any of them have the spray in bed liner??

Yeah, I get that. It's unfortunate to have to compromise in that way, but I had even attempted doing this multiple times through my dealer (asked about making changes in order to either speed up the process, or also make the truck I get more appealing - when I originally placed my order the 'Area 51' that my dealer had shown me appeared to be far more gray and a lot less baby blue than what it now appears to be.) But I've have the misfortune of having a dealer who is just exhausted with dealing with these online orders and has been little to no help. He apparently has been through the gauntlet with Ford's continued Bronco debacle - he even suggested the day I ordered the Maverick that it might be just like the Bronco. I think he was right.
