I tried that for a few days and it was stuck until today. I shut the truck off, disconnected the battery, removed the fuse, nothing worked. Today, whatever was stuck appears to have become unstuck. That’s why I suspect it’s the gasket/weatherstripping material on the damper itself or the damper motor going out. My Focus did the same thing but being older would unstuck quickly (within 5 minutes of starting the car). It didn’t work in the Maverick trying that. I know the gasket on the Focus I had had adhesive residue from it that would heat up and cause it to stick at times and then unstick. It was an issue many had with that vehicle. It would only do it when it was really hot. The day it stuck was our first really hot day here in Georgia. Hopefully the techs can diagnose it even though the ac is currently workingProbably not a fix for the mav but a few months ago the right side of my wife's Dodge Grand Caravan was stuck on heat even with the ac on. I did a quick search and for the Dodge I had to turn off the ac turn both temp sides down to cool then back up to hot again then back down to the coldest settings and it reset whatever. Everything is working again.
