Hello everyone, My name is Andrew and I live about 2 hours south of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. I'm 24, a former aircraft maintenance engineer now working towards an RV Tech license. I enjoy watching hockey, even though my Montreal Canadiens have been garbage this year, and I am also a huge Buffalo Bills and Denver Nuggets fan.

The reason I joined this forum is because I have paid off my current car and figured why not buy a truck to have for a decade or two.

Currently I own probably the most modified Ford C-Max in North America. All mainly cosmetic since it is meant to be a gas saving hybrid. I'll post a picture below.

I think the Maverick would be a perfect step up for me since I would love the versatility of a truck, but it gets pretty much the exact MPG as my C-Max and it won't break my budget like other trucks on the market would.

Right now I'm awaiting to hear back from a dealership on the value of my trade in but I need and honest opinions from the people who are already living with one/ordered one.

The two trucks I'm looking at ordering would both be pretty much base models with their trim.

Option A is an XL Hybrid in Velocity Blue, only add on items would be the trailer hitch and wind vents.

Option B is an XLT Hybrid in Cyber Orange, exact same add on items as the first.

This is where I'm torn because I really don't mind the blue on the XL, but I like orange enough that I painted my first car it with tremclad (2002 Saturn SL, I'll post a photo below)

If there are any huge Pros/Cons comparing the XL to XLT let me know please.

So the only other thing I really want to know, is is worth buying the bedliner and tonneau cover from ford or should I wait until it comes in and get them aftermarket?

I hope you are a patient person since you most likely wont be able to get one ordered and have one delivered this year. Also note Cyber Orange is not orange but school bus yellow.

Cyber orange is the way to go. And if you put something yellow next to it, it's orange

Orders don’t open up in Canada until Aug 16th. Dealers are making a list of interested people but not placing orders on the Aug 16th. You have time. Tonneau covers and Spray in bed liners will hold up your order. Order them from the dealer after you order is placed not with your order. Hope this helps.

Put something orange next to it and tell me they are the same. Haha. I will say lighting does make a big difference in how both the Cyber Orange and Hot Chilli Pepper Red look.

Just saying. School bus yellow or orange, no matter what it is called it is great if that is what you like. I am good with it either way, I have a yellow VW Beetle so I get it.

Just a note that until the order guides for '23s come out we won't know what new colors for Mavericks are offered, nor which '22 colors may be going bye-bye.
