To program you insert the existing first key, turn on ignition, count to three, take out put in existing second key turn on ignition - count to three - take new third key - turn on ignition - leave on - you should hear a chirp and a message key was successful.

To confirm, this is the programming instructions for all of the non-lariat keys?

yes it is - you are welcome !

Factory remote start is 300 ft. Range is likely much shorter than that if you use the Perimeter Plus security system since that's using the standard fob which is much shorter range.

Nope. not really without remote start I could probably figure out something but it would be as big -

ahhhh got it. the procedures are the same for adding that fob, I havent 100% tested it with Forscan however with the frequency being different Id say the 23 models dont have the chips for the 2 way communication needed for the fob based remote start. How much extra was it - just curious.

there is an indicator on the fob that flashes when the truck received the signal green - if the truck didnt start if flashes red. I didnt have the doors locked so it was red.

not sure on that one - pretty sure there are instructions - hopefully it doesnt require a dealer. - On the Ford site it says - Needs programmed by Dealer May be possible with Forscan tho as well ?

I think it works the same on the flip key for the XLT as well
