Wondering if anyone knows about the actual trains that load up the new vehicles at the Hermosillo plant and bring the vehicles into the US and beyond. I've been patiently waiting. Finally saw my truck go to built on 12/23 after a month and a half holding period "in production". The next step is shipped. Makes me wonder how often do trains appear at the plant, get loaded up and leave. One a day? More than that? Less often than that? And how many vehicles get on each train?

Anyone out there know this kind of information on the actual trains?

Thanks!

I’m in this exact situation asking the exact same question. My build is a Lariat Tremor. Awaiting someone more knowledgeable than me to comment

As I said in another post, trains go when they have a full shipment. Lodi, unfortunately, is not Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York. Good luck, we feel your pain.

Mine was built one day and the tracker showed shipped, the very next day. But it took over a month before it arrived at the dealer. So take "shipped" with a large grain of salt.

Yours might be faster, but it's not gonna arrive like something you order on Amazon Prime.

It would seem to me that my truck needing to come to Lodi, WI, would be transported by train to Chicago. So, how often does a train depart for Chicago, and can my truck please be put on that train?

Trains leave when they leave and your truck will get there when it gets there. The train car that your vehicle will be on could be on one train, then another, then another.

I don't mean to be an ass, but this is not a package from Amazon in which they control the logistics the entire way. Even Ford doesn't know exactly when you'll get your truck when it leaves Mexico.

I know it's frustrating, but that's just the reality of the system.

I think that when train car is full it is 'shipped'. It's hard to follow the logistics of the railroad, but they try to make it efficient (profitable). It may require several cars full of Mavericks before shipping, so one goes to AZ, then one to Chicago & one to NY & they get dropped at railyards along the way. Off topic is Lodi still home of Susie the Duck or Tom Wopat or both? I used to pass through Lodi on my way to Richland Center several times a year from '81 to '97.
