All I remember about the first editions is the one guy here on MTC that started a thread to complain that his First Edition Maverick wasn't one of the first Maverick's built. He truly believed he paid extra just to get one of the first ones built, not just one with stickers that pealed off if you went through a carwash (another thread was about that) and some at the time limited edition wheels. In the end a lot of the First Edition trucks came at the end of MY22 Production. Then came the rage from some First Edition buyers when those stickers went up on the Ford accessories site in 2023.
