Yours is a good question. your June 10th would have been in the fist batches but even a July 27th order as long as you have given the proper information in order for this dealer in Pennsylvania to complete verification (in California, you need a copy of a deposit check, copy of driver's license and a copy of the order submitted, other states may not require the deposit copy which is a refundable copy of a check for anywhere from$100 dollars to $500 dollars. Most dealers just ask for a copy and it is never cashed). Once verified, Ford sends the dealer an approval of the verification. I would safely say that many of the June orders will be receiving a scheduled build week of mid September to early October. Orders placed in July would most likely fall into a scheduled build week of November with delivery late November / December.Bobby, thanks for the info, I found it extremely helpful.
The question I have is about placing an order on 10 June in Florida and canceling it on 22 July and placing a new order on 22 July in Pennsylvania.
With canceling the original order and placing the new order AFTER the 15 July allocation date, how does that effect my new order? Will it still be considered even though it was after the 15 July allocation date? Does it mean I should just sit back and relax because it's going to take awhile?
But anything can happen here in terms of commodities. Ford may trigger increase in production and move sooner. This is just an estimate based on experience of 12 years at a great Ford Dealership in Southern California. Have patience when you talk to your contact person, let him know that you appreciate his/her time. They are overwhelmed right now with these orders in obtaining copies of Drivers Licenses and Deposit checks for each order. It seems easy but time consuming. After they receive the information, they need to log in to a secure Ford application; and register for verification and attach the documents to the order. Is it worth it; of course it is. I have a mission statement that I post on my office window for all of our employees to see and read each morning to start the day. It reads like this:
A Customer is the most important visitor on our premises,
They are not dependent on us. We are dependent on them.
They are not an interruption in our work. They are the purpose of it.
They are not an outsider in our business. They are part of it.
We are not doing them a favor by serving them; they are doing us a
favor by giving us an opportunity to do so."
