I ordered through Chapman Ford in PA and they are no longer doing courtesy delivery where they drop ship it to another dealership so I have the option to have it shipped myself or pick it up and drive it home. Some dealerships like Long Mcarthur in KS are covering shipping directly to your door but won't do any discounts like x-plan with that deal.

I ordered from Ed Simpson at Chapman in Philly 8/20. (Yes, had to sit in one before I could order.) Also set up a courtesy delivery with Planet Ford in Dallas. (They have locations throughout Texas).
Just call a few Ford dealers near you and ask if they will do a courtesy delivery and see what they will charge. Mine was $250. Well worth it vs driving from Philly to Dallas.

Since your in MD, you could take the Amtrak to Philly. A couple of the dealerships are picking people up from the airport, so just take the Amtrak to one of the airport stations. Thats what I plan on doing.
I looked into renting a car and dropping it off at one of the locations near Chapman, but car rentals are $100+ vs the $30 for the Amtrak ride.

yea my brother suggested I look into Amtrak. I though it was going to be crazy expensive, but turns out from the BWI station to Philly, its only $20-$30 right now. Going to have my wife drive me to BWI, so I'm not out any cash for the initial leg of the trip either.

I flew into Ohio from IL to pick up my truck back in 2014. A southwest ticket is a cheap alternative to transportation in many cases. If you have it shipped the dealer will either broker the car out to a transporter to list or they will list it themselves on a site called Central Dispatch where all trucking companies can see and make offers on shipping it.
