A lot of lowered margins. Buyers will love it, but wonder what the shareholders will think of that?

To be clear, this post is about automaker reactions, and the implications of that, not political decisions made in Washington. Anyone who reacts differently — the goof is on them.

Probably the same things shareholders like myself think of losing 5billion a year with no end in site. All because of mandates.
both are bad for shareholders. But as a shareholder you should not worry about short term issues. Investing is risk. It’s been a while since any companies main focus was a shareholder.

Sometimes in fishing you get a backlash that is such a tangled mess that it seems impossible to know where to even start, so you don't and instead throw the whole...everything into the ocean and start over.

I bought some Ford stock several days ago for $8.60/sh. Sold it two days later for $9.34. not as well as Alcoa I purchased for $22.22 (was pleasantly surprised when my order executed as I thought the dip was asking for too much). Sold it in 2 or three days for $26.06. Then there is the Rare earth mine that I purchased for $1.41 couple years back which is now $0.52 but it's offset as the only one of five small miners that are not up significantly in the three years I have them. Gotta get back to trying to figure out which real or fake news is going to cause the next knee jerk market move.

This thread is right out of the passive-aggressive rulebook. Post a thread saying the thread is not about tariffs. Then proceed to talk about tariffs. But be just tangential enough that you can deny it.

well, it comes down to selling more cars with lower profit, vs. selling little-to-no cars with a higher profit.
