I once "MacGyver-ed" enough juice (I left lights on) to start a car by pulling a bulb outside the vehicle - attached some wires to the empty socket and then the jumper cables to them.
I'm afraid those days are gone with the newer car / current systems.
Once the radiator fan stopped working, for god knows what, I took the subwoofer speaker cable and make a direct connection between the fan to the battery and keep my way.
