I have a 2023 Lariat Hybrid and horn works when pushing in green area…but doesn’t work when pushing in red area. Is this normal?

Try pressing on the horns, not the Ford oval.
My 22 is f’d like that too. Poor design I think

I think it’s possible the contacts aren’t where they “horn identifiers” are No?
Mine developed the same issue. Something inside got stuck or collapsed on the top.
I used to just tap the horn anywhere and it would honk easily. Then one day when I tapped the horn for a cell phone user stopped at a green light, nothing happened.
The entire top of the airbag module including the horn symbols was no longer pushing in, like it had collapsed or was caught. The only way to honk now is the very bottom like yours, the furthest point from the horn symbols.
The top isnt a pivot, I found a video showing the top is supposed to float as well.
In an emergency, it is normal just to quickly hit the center of the horn. Now you have to conciously push only the very bottom or it won't honk. Something is not right.

Okay…so it does work when I push the horn buttons on the top left or right side. I get no honk on the Ford logo though.
Does yours honk when you push on the Ford logo?

I’m no expert, but I only noticed this because someone started merging into my lane and almost hit me. I went to honk and nothing happened. I instinctually pushed directly in the center (on the Ford logo) and it won’t honk.
