Here I go again. Ordered 2024 Maverick

So for the third time in three years I begin the waiting game again. I ordered a 2021 f-150 powerboost hybrid back in 2021. It was built within two months of my order but then sat on a lot in Michigan waiting for Computer chips to come in for 6 months. I then ordered a 2022 Mavrick lariot Hybrid for my wife. We waited 13.5 months for it but finally did recieve it. I like the Mavrick and decided to order a 2024 Mavrick for me that I could use for my everyday commuting, keeping the F-150 for towing and trips. So here I go again with the wait.

I was standing at the dealership when the order was submitted on the computer and within 5 minutes had the confirmation e-mail from ford.

Thats how my first two were, I never got any notifications from ford. This one came right thru.

Similar story - placed order with dealer Sept 2022, got an email confirmation from Ford. That order rolled to a '23. At least I assume it rolled over b/c I never heard anything further-no email regarding the roll-over and no private offer on a '23. In June I ordered a '24. No email and no private offer, although I suppose Ford could still build my 2023. The Mav I drive is one I spotted at a dealer 90 miles away and jumped on it, paying $1800 over MSRP which was good for my area. Not a great consumer experience... I like my trucklet but the experience has not built brand loyalty, this is my first Ford ever.

It seems to be the new norm. Had to wait a year for my wifes new car. Had a Transit based motorhome on order that was a 3-5 year wait and our 23 Maverick order will be a year next month. We ended up bailing on the motorhome and found a like new 2021 model. Built on E450 and had a year of house and chassis warranty left on it with 1700 miles on the clock. So if your tired of the wait try and buy used.

Got my email within 5 minutes of dealer submitting my 24 build. Email states Ford will send update within 45 days.

I agree with Ozarkbeard and recommend you verify with Ford at 800 334-4375
Give them your Sales Code and Order Code. I didn't get any paperwork when i first ordered last years although it was offered and got a verification e mail within 15 minutes. Months later I went ahead and got copies of the paperwork. No email from Ford would have me nervous but it seems like dealers are not ordering unless they have quota for a Maverick so we'll see.

You should get an email the day of ordering if the dealer put your order in. I had an email from Ford within an hour of ordering from my dealer.

I like my little truck a lot, but I wouldn't want to go through the buying process again. My local dealership was not helpful. The sole source of knowledge & updates was this community and that Ford feller out in Kansas!
