Hello all,

Been driving a 2006 F150 XL with the 8' bed and last week got the news my frame rusted out. Few days later and I was driving home in an almost (7600 mile) new 2025 Maverick hybrid XLT with the 4k tow package.

I was semi aware of the Maverick before this and I knew I wanted less truck than my F150, but I definitely still wanted a truck. Happy this was available when I needed one quickly. Now to finish picking up the various bits and bobs and hopefully this lasts my as long as my old truck did.

Ford Maverick Hello from the Great Lakes Area Mav

Going to get the bed sprayed and some mud flaps for the slush and salt. Rokblokz seem to be one of the more highly recommended brands of flaps around here?

Edit to add, I got the Husky X-act floor mats for the front and back. Only other thing I am thinking about for now is some sort of seat covers. Maybe some sort of rail system for tie downs if I decide I need it. I have the Milwaukee Packout system, so I understand how dangerous modular systems can be if I don't exercise restraint early in the process.

Welcome from the SW end of Lake Erie! Curious how many miles were put on your old truck to where it rotted out so quick? Lots of salt/brine driving I take it. Look into the fluidic film treatment for your new Maverick so it will preserve the metal and not rot out so quick.

Yes, lots of brine on the roads around me. The truck only had about 180k miles, but when I picked it up almost 10 years ago it was sitting at 42k. It also spent all its time in the elements. I did get this one sprayed, so hopefully the salt takes longer to become an issue in the future.
