Headliner problem on driver and passenger side (see picts). Seems like the material is too short and the door gasket doesn't cover it exposing frayed edges of the material. Took to dealer for solution. First trip was told by service rep everything fixed. Got into vehicle and it looked just the same only now there were dirty hand prints on the liner. Went back to dealer who ordered new headliner, went to pick up vehicle, still same problem with (new headliner?) frayed edges esposed in same places, only now I have marks and scratches on my glove box and dash. Apparently they had to remove both seats and center console (nothing could go wrong there!) Just wondering if any other owners have same issue with headliner and was there a real solution to the problem. Thanks

As the middle age poets would say, "Methinks we would have a talk with GM at dealer." Sounds like somebody at dealer has some explaining to do and some repairing to do as well.

Had same issue with 2022 Lariat EB. Replaced under warranty and had same issue. Was scheduled to get inspected and go back to ford under warranty. Sold it as Hybrid is in production.

I have the same exact issue. I was debating whether to take it to the dealer and what they would do to fix it. Has anyone gotten a good fix under warranty? Please chime in.

I have/had the same issue. I used some interior trim tools I had to hold the seal away from the fabric. I used some adhesive to glue up the headliner ends. Once it dried, I pulled the seal back over the headliner end. Shouldn't have to fix it myself but figured the dealership would try to half ass fix it and make it worse.

Yes, I own one, it is a "cheaply" made vehicle and they are made in an area where there has been a history of manufacturing issues. I think it will be remembered as a DIY/fix it yourself vehicle. Not complaining, just lowering my expectations. The lucky thing is if someone is truly unhappy with their Maverick, they can get out of it / sell it without much $ loss, likely even a gain, especially for hybrid owners.

As mentioned in my original post, the dealer supposedly put in a new headliner under warranty and it had the same problem as well as a few addidtional issues like skuff marks on my glovebox and dash. Had I known they would need to remove both seats and console, I probably would have tried a self fix or just lived with it.

I have the same issue. I haven't taken it back to the dealer yet.

Yeah I have this issue, and have not taken to the dealer. May get the 3m mentioned in the TSB. I drive so little, my interior is immaculate and I don’t know if I can trust the dealer to not screw it up.

I am very surprised that they let the vehicle out like that...

My theory is these are all ones that got built on the line with the recalled airbags, and they got swapped at some point, and the new ones don't fit quite the same. ( a lot of that can be kinda taken from the TSB). It is hard to notice, I missed it for a few weeks after I got the truck.

This one has me really annoyed, same issue. Will call the Ford Dealer on Tuesday, but did go 19 months for me to notice. Think, perhaps the glue let go, idk.

Yep noticed all this too. Happens on the passenger door trim for me.
