Have You Checked the Open Cavities in Front of Your Maverick’s Rear Wheels?

Take a look just in front of your Maverick’s rear wheels and you’ll notice two open cavities.

Mud, gravel, grass, leaves, and other debris can easily collect in those areas, especially if you drive on dirt roads or in bad weather.

The Mabett Rear Wheel Splash Shield Covers close off those openings and give the wheel wells a cleaner, more finished look.

They use the existing mounting points, so installation is quick and doesn’t require drilling.

Had you noticed this area before, or is it something that never really bothered you?

Having open cavities in the wheel wells forward of the rear tires seems like an open invitation for debris accumulation. I drive on dirt roads and there is no doubt that the voids would create a problem.

Before there was an opportunity for that to happen, I eliminated the problem by installing Mabett splash shield covers, so no bother after the install. Easy install, perfect fit.

The splash shields are one of those products that look like they should have been standard OEM.

You are absolutely correct and I made the mistake of following the link and ordering mud flaps. Not what the thread is about and not what I wanted. Maybe @MABETT can chime in and let me know what to do from here.

Really. Get your facts straight before you start tossing.
This thread is NOT about mud flaps, it's about the covers for the voids in front of the rear wheels if you bothered to read the OP post, and that's what I replied to.

The issue was the link posted in error was for mud flaps rather than what it should have been.
So no, I didn't lead the thread in a different direction, but you did.
