Has anyone Tested the "Collision Avoidance" system?

I HAVE!! Just a few hours ago...
I was returning home from a friends' house, heading west. (Nice Bright Sunset)!
I saw the cars' brake lights come on about a car length away...
and just as I was reacting, the dash lights up and starts beeping..

Stopped in time, No brake screeching, But, I just about crapped my shorts!!
DAMN the thing DOES WORK!!

I went to pass another vehicle last week and just as I began to pass the alarm went off and startled the hell out of me. Is it supposed to apply the brakes automatically? If so I’m glad it didn’t.

I have had a few false positives with it but they are few and far inbetween. Usually it triggers on pedestrians while I’m on a bend.

I’m glad the sound it makes is noticeable but not alarming.

I haven’t had the brakes auto stop me.

I am really happy to have this system. A lot of times people are too timid to merge in traffic and they stop suddenly. Look away for a second to plan your merge and you could hit someone.

Ya, know what you mean!
Have had that happen about once every few weeks.
Glad, I don't have to take the freeway to work anymore..

I've had numerous warning, never had it apply the brakes as far as I can tell. Good thing too, at least half of the warnings have been phantom ones where I was 10+ car lengths from the vehicle ahead of me, or there was no other vehicle around at all.
