Got pics? I had a windshield replaced at 5k and noticed a drip last night...

Pulled my tuxmats (here is a disadvantage to such good covering floormats) and I have standing water. Everything still works though.

I work on euro cars, this would be years and thousands in damages ahead.

I pulled the carpet to put down sound deadener. all the interior trim around the bottom has to come off and the console. oh, and the seats of course.
The console has two bolts at the rear sides and has a cover on each side up front. There you can unplug the console stuff (no need to take anything apart). two screws up front on the top of the console kind of under the dash.
The hardest thing was the hood release, it has a weird, hard to get to pin to get off the shaft of it. I ended up breaking it getting it off. There is a post of how to do it somewhere on this site.

Call me dumb, but what does "EB" mean in Maverick talk?

Thank you! And thanks for not embarassming me anymore than necessary. I read many blogs and websites and chat sites and the use of acronyms is annoying. Everyone assumes everyone knows every acronym out there. Now I know another one! Thanks again!

Have your windshield cowl checked too. Impossible to get a dealer or Ford to replace these moldy carpets though.

What kind of electronics are on the floor, under seats, where is the harness, are there bulk harness plugs down there?

I can touch the carpet on the driver side and push water around my hand, its wet in the rear footwells too. I'm assuming water issues up to level with the top of carpet.

Why is that? edit: carpet. I know about cowl drains.

I suppose some dealers will for customer satisfaction, but I've already told them I will never buy a car from them again so my car gets to sit in the storage lot for any recalls or warranty work. I've been trying to get my dealer to replace it and they won't, warranty work is the least of their priorities and my truck was out of service for a month because they don't want to look into it. Ford says the dealer has to submit a request. Sealing around the cowl managed to get it to only leak in extreme rain now but the smell still comes back no matter how many times i get it detailed or run air freshener bombs.

there is a harness in the console. the plugs are accessible from the covers on the sides. I remember a few grounds but no plugs under there. there are wire harnesses running down the sides under the door seal trim. I don't remember seeing any modules under the carpet.

For those curious: On an EB with FX4 and 4k the AWD module is on the passenger floor under the seat. There are no modules mounted on the driver floor. The invertor and SRS module are on the tunnel under the center console, any of them could drink a coffee or redbull spilled on the shifter area. There are a couple mass plugs under the dead pedal that are susceptible to condensation otherwise the harness appears clean from connectors and splices.
