Hail damages repair

Newbie here,

A serious question for everybody who had hail damage in the past or currently. I am debating with myself whether should I pay out $250 before my deductible limit with a shop that averages 5-7 months of waiting for repair in the line with everybody and claim from insurance. OR should I do a hail self-repair DIY for much less and a shorter time? What y'all thoughts on this?

You could see if your insurance could write you a check to reimburse for any expenses incurred for DIY

Serious answer: it probably depends on the severity. Might help if you upload some pictures of the damage you're concerned about.

Their forecast completely missed the potential severity of that storm.

I went to Denver that morning and left about 1300 not knowing that a hailstorm was right behind me. Got home at 1400 and saw you guys got hit bad.

mine had hail damage (twice) before they would let me have it, can't even tell, leave it to the pros

Check out for traveling ‘bump guys’ at local auto body shops. They can do exceptional work for much cheaper.

Here are the pictures...hard to see but I count about 11 dents on the front and 5-6 on my roof.
