hail damage?

anyone here have hail experience with the Mav? Never mind pea sized hail, I'm worried BB sized will crack the windshield.

I have hail damage on my hood from ping pong ball size hail. Three dings on the hood, none on the roof and the windshield is fine!

My camper and Bronco Sport got hit with golf ball size hail when camping last summer. 7K damage to the camper roof and 6K damage to the Bronco Sport's hood, side panels, rear hatch, and roof including replacing a cracked windshield. Only fixed the Sport. New windshield and they did dentless repair to the 38+ golf ball sized dents. No paint/filler required anywhere and you couldn't tell where any of the dents were. I was amazed. It looked like it was still sitting new on the showroom floor.

you better get that thing inside quick-i would be more worried about body panels than windshield!

With hail, size matters but not as much as velocity when it comes to causing damage, especially to windshield, rear or side glass. Think of when I toss an apple to you to eat vs thrown hard enough to bruise your noggin.

We had some hail move through last year and my Mav was caught in it. Hood, roof, and fenders were damaged. The windshield was fine.
