:D Picked up my Maverick today. VERY smooth transaction with my small local dealer. Did a walkaround inspection yesterday before PDI and went back today for a quick test drive and completed purchase. Dealer honored the original pricing (MSRP and no hikes after ordering) and added back in my $750 rebate which had expired 1/3/22 and disappeared from my Smart Vincent account. Took the long way home and went through local mountains and twisty roads to try out all drive modes including Sport. It handled beautifully and did not find any rattles in dash or doors during the quick test drive where I made sure to go on rutted dirt roads, speed bumps and run it through the gears, check braking, etc. The 8 speed shifts smooth as butter, no excessive engine noise engaging Turbo, wind noise only present when I was in mountains with actual winds as a big storm approaches, and tire noise only present when on "Chip seal" surfaced roads. Before ordering I had previously driven a 2022 Ford Edge with same 2.0/8 speed combo and an early arrival Maverick at dealership back in October 2021, so I knew what to expect. Surprisingly my own truck was even better than what I remember from test drives for overall driving experience and performance (y) Ended up putting nearly 100 miles on it today in varied driving conditions. Now it is sleeping under cover as we await snowstorms tomorrow. Sleep tight Grey Ghost

I got several mailers promoting special incentives to move F-150s and others for up to $2500 rebate depending on featured vehicles and promotions cycle. Reading the fine print and excluded vehicles- Mavericks were not excluded and my dealer found my account in Smart Vincent system and added it for me. Many people received these but didn't seem to be a single clear criteria for who was selected. Pretty sure I got them because of previous recent purchase of our F-150 at local dealer.

Looks great- glad I switched to Carbonized Gray.
I originally selected Oxford White with my reservation as I had it on 2 Rangers and our current F-150. White doesn't seem to look "dated" as fast and our weather is hot half the year here and White stays cooler. Before I actually ordered I saw multiple Carbon Grey Fords around town and at dealer before realizing it actually has metal flake in it that shines when it's clean 😎 It kind of grew on me from there. I went back to build and price configurator tool and spun around a couple color choices again with just steelies since I was getting an XL and it just worked for me and ordered it. Another cool thing is the carbon fiber door panel and dash accent pieces are also Grey instead of white which really ties together XL interior colors with the outside color 👍

Loving it so far, but my Grand Cherokee is hating me for moving it back outside so Maverick could live in the carport now. Not gonna get this baby dirty in Winter Storms, lol.

I would have gotten XLT if I ordered 2022 but wanted steel wheels. Ended up waiting for 2023 Xl with steels and same color. It just looks like it will not look dated. Saw one yesterday. Is geezer driving so I guess I'm in good company.

Congratulations on your truck, I picked mine up Monday after a 13 month weight, I chose the hybred, other then that ,same truck. We have all seen mags for the last 40 years ,the steels are a cool change. I think there a good start for the old rally wheels, if you remember those from the late 60s.

Yes, I remember the Chevy rally wheels well. I was way into motorcycles and cars before I could even legally drive- got license in 1973. Was building hot rod models as a kid, had all the Hot Wheels stuff, and even convinced my parents to take me to Fremont drag strip once back in 1969 when we lived in Bay Area. I've always wanted a 1968/69 El Camino and still would love to have 1 that is already restored or at least well taken care of. I'm too old with too many other hobbies to get into restoring something like that. Only have so many useful years left to enjoy what I already have and have to use it before I lose it! ;)

I understand completely, had a 69 chevell with the monster L 78 in the early 70s it gave the 440s a big surprise in the quarter, if they didn't do everything just right, but that's just good memories now.

The tailights…
Have a 22 xl in the same color. The whole taillight assembly lights up (with the exception of the sides.) Is this a MY23, as I noticed that the taillights are only on in some strips near the bed. Looks amazing!

2022 model year per my VIN and order + build dates. Have not noticed any difference in tail lights and haven't seen a 2023 anywhere yet.

BTW: engine and lights were off when I took the pictures. Maybe just ambient light illuminating parts of tail lights?
