  2. Just my way to fill that useless dash cubby opening, I like analog anway

Palms,it is wood ,cut to fit the opening and press into cubby about half an inch ,it stays in place by friction. I then board a hole to fit the clock flush. Then covered the front and sides with black faux leather.

Serow, that's a very cool clock. I looked at one that was 2 3/4 inches and was afraid I would have to modify the dash,so I decided to go small. I can't tell how large your clock is but I'm guessing about 4 inches ,so it's your call. The very front of the opening flares out so if your clock is...

Good idea, I did a very similar thing for those reasons.

Fabmav ,the faux stitching came from a local parts house, I don't recall the name of it, I thought it looked good so thanks for the good words. The only problem with it is the factory glue was weak and tended to turn loose if the truck sat out in the sun ,so I took it off and used spray glue and...
  6. Just my way to fill that useless dash cubby opening, I like analog anway

Richard, funny, there was a time when an analog clock was in most cars, usually the same size as the speedometer, or a small one in the middle of the dash, but that was when the ignition was on the dash and the dimmer switch was on the floor.

Automan, you are right on the size, and as soon as it came in I was hesitant to install it, but had to see what it was going to look like. Good call

  13. A "Transit" solution to the Maverick steelies

I wasn't satisfied with the paint edge on the wheels, the black blead under the tape, not much but I could see it, so I used a vinyl pin strip to cover the transition.
  14. A "Transit" solution to the Maverick steelies

That is a solid idea, I like it. For me, I was trying for that late 60s early 70s rally wheel, but that's why we make these mavericks our own.
  15. Cloth seats vs. ActiveX seats feedback

I to have had leather for many years, i was impressed with the color and comfort of my XL seats, bought a can of scotch guard and applied 3 coats on the entire cloth ,front and rear, don't know how long it will last in a vehicle, but it now beads liquid. I'm going with them for a while.
  16. Bed mat and backflip midgate on a budget - my custom DIY solution 🪚

Sorry I didn't make a drawing, the best I can tell you is cut you some 2x2 and lay them out on the truck bed where you want them and carefully mark them to overlap. You will need to clear the fender, and when flipped ,clear the bed cover( which is roughly 17 inches) and then lay about 1 inch from...
  17. Bed mat and backflip midgate on a budget - my custom DIY solution 🪚

Rudedog, good thought, however the hollow areas in the bed side for a devider is the only location I could see to place the uprights and not have to drill the metal side. With out making the rack with another set of angles (each set of angles in wood makes the rack weaker even using glue and...

Ok ,all the joints are on 45 degrees, and choose a hard wood to make your gussets if you can find it, I used Maplewood to keep all those joints ridged
